HP has officially announced the HP SlateBook 14,which will funtion as the first Android-powered laptop.

The HP SlateBook 14 has specifications seen in the best of the best android smart phones. It will have a 1080p touchscreen technology and touchscreen display screen, a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 CPU supported by 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.
Then there’s the headline feature: the HP SlateBook 14 will operate on an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Hopefully that’ll be given a boost to Android 4.4 KitKat rather sharpish.
The HP SlateBook 14 even offers a rather traditional clamshell laptop design, with a full keyboard and trackpad to accompany that touchscreen. At 16mm thick it’s pretty slim example, although it weighs around 1.67kg.

It's connectivity can be found in the proper execution of two USB 2.0 ports, a solitary USB 3.0 port, one HDMI, along with a microSD slot. You get Wi-Fi as you might expect.
Around the audio front, you receive quad BeatsAudio speakers - HP featuring the newly Apple-owned company’s branding products through this season and next.
HP is claiming 9 hours of straight battery life for this new SlateBook.
As we may have mentioned the HP SlateBook 14 was leaked by HP around end of April, it’s rather odd that HP is launching an Android laptop when Google already offers a lightweight laptop OS in Chrome OS.
Indeed, about the same day HP announced the SlateBook 14, also revealed the HP Chromebook PC - a brand new Chrome-powered laptop.
The HP SlateBook 14 will probably be available around August in a yellow and black colour scheme. It'll cost around $399, which isn't bad a price range if I may say so myself.
I can't wait till the HP Slatebook 14 comes out
